Love to knit or crochet? KnitWits invites you to gather Monday, February 9, from 10:00am–1:00pm in the St. Joseph Community Room. Come for whatever time fits your schedule. Together, we knit and crochet baby blankets and hats for Children’s Place Association, supporting newborns whose parents are unable to care for them. Catholic Schools Week officially begins January 25 with our all-ICSJ School Family Mass—and the celebration continues throughout the week. Our school will be alive with energy as students share their learning through the Science Fair, cheer one another on at the Spelling Bee, and show their pride on Spirit Day. Catholic Schools Week also calls our students to service through the Cradles to Crayons drive and celebrates a love of learning through the Scholastic Book Fair. We invite the entire parish to keep our school in mind as we celebrate our students, our teachers, and the lasting gift of Catholic education at ICSJ.

Following Epiphany Sunday and before the year fills up with noise, take time to set your course. Rooted in the spirit of Epiphany, this Young Adult small group discussion offers space to ask anything as we reflect on where you are, where you’re headed, and what spiritually grounded next steps might look like. Bring all your questions as you consider directions toward a fuller life, satisfying work, meaningful learning, and deeper spiritual growth. Parishioner, Mike Traynor, assisted by Fr. McBrady, will help guide the conversation from intention to action. A Second Collection will be taken at all weekend Masses this weekend to support our Sharing Parish, Mother of the Americas Parish, which serves Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood. Mother of the Americas is supported by our parish throughout the year through prayer, friendship, and financial stewardship. All children ages 4 through 3rd grade are invited to join the Children’s Liturgy of the Word at 9:30 a.m. Mass at IC Church on Sundays during Advent. ICSJ School teachers will lead short prayer activities during the Liturgy of the Word and return children to their parents following the Prayers of the Faithful

ICSJ School is hosting a festive Breakfast with Santa from 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. in Immaculate Conception Parish Hall. Enjoy a pancake breakfast, meet and take photos with Santa, make a craft with his elves, sing carols with our choir, and hear a Christmas story from a special guest. Tickets are $100 per family (2 adults and up to 4 kids) and include all activities. For over 50 years, CCHD has partnered with organizations that address the root causes of poverty and help people help themselves.
